Joe Xanthopoulos

Executive Director

Joe Xanthopoulos brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in Life Plan Communities and health care organizations to Park Place of Elmhurst. He grew up in Westchester, Illinois, earned his undergraduate degree from Elmhurst University and spent four years working at Endeavor–Edward–Elmhurst Health.

Throughout his career, Joe has been actively involved with LeadingAge, serving on multiple national and state boards and committees. His leadership is driven by a strong commitment to engaging residents, team members and the broader community in creating an environment where people can live their best lives.

Joe values collaboration, connection and purpose, and his approach reflects Park Place’s mission-driven culture. He and his wife, Margaret, have three adult children.

Beth McGowan Welch brings more than 20 years of organizational leadership and operations management experience to Providence Life Services and Park Place of Elmhurst. Her professional background includes work in senior housing, hospitality, government, health care and nonprofit organizations.

Beth is known for her collaborative leadership style and enthusiasm for mission-focused work. She thrives in environments where teamwork, shared goals and service guide decision-making. Her leadership enhances the Foundation’s efforts to enhance quality of life and strengthen the community, while inspiring those she works alongside.

Beyond leadership, Park Place is shaped by a dedicated team across dining, wellness, administration and resident services. Collaboration across departments helps ensure daily operations run smoothly and thoughtfully.
